Nikon IR and a DD

I recently discovered that Kodak have decided, at last, to discontinue my favourite film, HIE High Speed Infrared. This finally pushed me into sending my Nikon D100 off to be upgraded to full-time infrared. This has been the best thing I've done in ages - a whole new style to play with.

I'm also extremely pleased to have a Daily Deviation for the image

. I'm just delighted with the recognition, and the chance to get my work in front of more eyeballs.

Yea, digital cameras are all very sensitive to infrared. The conversion is simply the removal of the internal IR blocking filter, and replacement of it with a filter that blocks visible light. It's a permanent change - the camera now only sees infrared light.

This is my 5th DD, and I'm kinda astonished to have had so many.
